|Staying hydrated is extremely important for your overall health, but it can be hard to take in the recommended amount of fluids and you may get tired of constantly going to the bathroom.
So, how do you make sure you drink plenty of water daily?
How Much Water Should I Drink Daily? The recommendations for water intake are eight, 8-ounce glasses of water per day or half a gallon. If you fall short of that amount, you will probably still feel hydrated.
Add Flavor to Your Water
Many people get bored of drinking plain water, but they forget the important thing is to drink fluids. Not soda or sugary drinks, but healthy fluids.
A good tip to improve the appeal of water is to add pieces of fresh fruit to it. If you have some frozen berries or citrus fruits handy, a couple of pieces can completely change the experience of drinking water.
Invest in a Good Water Bottle
You can purchase a water bottle that only needs to be refilled a couple of times and use it throughout the day. If you know how many refills you need, then you know you're drinking plenty of water daily.
Start A Drinking ScheduleSet goals. For example, finish the first water bottle by the time you get to the office. Use whatever markers work for your schedule and lifestyle and stick to them.
You should be taking sips every so often, not gulping half the water bottle in one minute. This can actually hurt your stomach and would be counterproductive. So, take it easy.
Making sure you drink plenty of water daily is something you need to do to stay properly hydrated throughout the day. Plan and drink up.
