Restorative Dental Procedures
We have a full range of restorative services to bring your teeth back to their former glory and allow you to chew again. Click on a heading below to learn more:
When a person has lost most of their teeth and have difficulty chewing they often opt to have the rest removed and dentures made. Dentures are removable prosthesis made of plastic that look like your natural teeth.
We can reshape, restore and re-size your teeth with composite resin. It allows us to fix chips, reshape irregular teeth and close gaps.
When a tooth gets a cavity it is necessary to remove the damaged part of the tooth. This area gets restored using composite fillings that are colored to match the surrounding tooth.
A large gap (1 or more missing teeth) between teeth can be filled by permanently attaching a bridge to adjacent crowns.
When a tooth becomes cracked and weak we can restore the structural integrity of a tooth with a crown.
A missing tooth can be restored with a dental implant. Implants feel, look and work like your real teeth. They are simply the best replacement for teeth. Learn more about why you need dental implants
If a tooth is still good, but the interior of the tooth has been compromised, we can restore the tooth by clearing out the damaged tissue.
As we said on our preventive care page, bacteria and plaque create acidic byproducts that can eat away at the enamel of your teeth. If not prevented, this decay will cause cavities (carries).
The best ways to deal with tooth decay and cavities is to remove the decayed portions of the tooth and fill it in. For small cavities we use fillings. For more extensive damage we use crowns and/or root canal therapy.
